My name is Megan, and I'm 22.

I was diagnosed with anorexia nervosa when I was 19, but I have struggled with eating and body issues since I was 11.  I remember exactly how it all started, and it is basically your typical reasoning.  I'm sure you've heard it all before.  I decided to go into recovery in November 2004 after I realized I'd gone 2 1/2 weeks living on nothing but Gatorade.  I tried to make things better on my own a couple times, but just wound up gaining way to much weight, freaking out, and going back to the same routine.

I still struggle with eating issues, self esteem, body issues and all of that, so I will probably never consider myself "recovered."  I tried looking into some other ED groups, but a lot of it seemed to be people who were just starting to come to terms with their problems which was way too negative for me.  I need positivity and fun to keep myself going!

I'm a feminist inside and out.  I went through all the phases, and am finally comfortable with my feminist identity.  I guess I'm more feminine if I had to categorize, but you better believe I'm the first one to curse out a dude-bro for catcalling out his window at me (they never expect it!).  As far as music goes, I like punk okay, but I really love ska and indie pop (sorry).  I've been to my fair share of shows (my fiance is in a trad. ska band so we're all over the place with that), but I've never been to a basement show...

Because I live in Florida thatsallbye!
